But one of the elders said, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David has prevailed to open the scroll and loose its seven seals." - Revelations 5:5

POSITION   PROMOTION   PROVISION

Part 1

I would like to take this time to share with each one of you a message that the Lord has lately given me that will stick with me for the rest of my life. I have been studying the life of Joseph in the book of Genesis for the last few months. What a lesson lies within this man's life. We all know that God richly blessed him with many gifts and talents, one of which was having the ability to dream.

When he was 17 years of age God gave him a dream that his brothers were going to bow down and serve him. We learned that they hated him for this dream. God gave him another dream and they hated him more, and then another dream and the Word of God says they hated him "even more". Then we know that they plotted against him, beat him up, dug a pit, and threw Joseph in it to die. He was found and sold into slavery, accused of adultery, and eventually was cast into prison.

What a life lesson! How many of us would say we want that kind of life? I am sure not many. This is where we need to be mature adults spiritually and see the hand of God in "all circumstances". If not, we feel the adversary or the devil is destroying our lives.

I am telling you this--- Christians in today's church give too much credit to and for the devil. As we know, it was God that Joseph gave the credit to for this beautiful process. Yes, I said a beautiful process.

If you do not see the outcomes of the "Lords dealings", you will never really fully understand the depths of Him. You might think you know Him, but do you really know Him?

Joseph realized in the end that it is God who was at work in his life. God was placing him in a position that would lead to a bigger and better promotion-- that would eventually lead Joseph into the position of provision--or we could say, being a provider.

For this period of time in Joseph's life-- when all seemed like it was terrible-- God was positioning Joseph for his final promotion to be a provider. This is what we need to realize and see in each one of our lives. God is at work in you, and even though at times things and stuff around you might look bad, God has the power and ability to make it turn out for the good.

You need to have your faith and trust placed in him, not the circumstances and situations that at times surround you.

Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to him must believe that he is, and he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Do you have that kind of faith, to realize that God has a plan and a purpose for you regardless of how things might look on the outside?

Joseph could have become bitter and full of unforgiveness, but he chose not to. He could have been mad at the woman that falsely accused him, those who threw him into jail, those who threw him into that pit, those who thought he was a mental case, but he did not.

Joseph always was submitted and committed to see the hand of God at work in his life regardless of how it looked for him at the time.

Remember position leads us to promotions that in turn place us in the position to be a provider. Each one of us have this potential. God loves each one of us. So no matter what life deals you, never loose sight of the belief in God and what He can do for you.

Each position that you find yourself in can lead to a promotion for you. Each promotion is another position that just might qualify you to be found trustworthy and placed into the position of being a provider for those around you. This life is so short, we must be able to make the best out of each and every situation that life deals us.

We at Alpha Lions Den Ministries want to be able to help you and your families become the best that you can be. We have seen so many people in our area hurt, broke, busted and disgusted. We want to be there to help each one of you in any way that we can. So please communicate with us.

Our church services are Sunday 9:30-11:00 am and Wednesday night bible studies 7-8 pm. I hope to see each one of you real soon. Until then may the Lord richly bless and keep you and your family.
